    I make sure to work out 4-5 days a week, and eat healthy. Sometimes I need to amp it up and be a little more careful. I honestly don’t do it for looks anymore, but rather, feeling healthy. Looks are simply an added bonus. So I will be doing this with you, and I will be posting more recipes as the days progress. I’m giving you the meal plans here, but I will make sure to keep up with possible clean eating recipe changes throughout the month.

    Although…being at the beach all the time just makes you want to stay healthy…you know…

  • “EAT CLEAN FOR ONE MONTH WITH ME” EXPLANATION.

    Many of you from the Tessa Van Wade Fitness Page said that you would eat clean with me for one month! Okay, let’s do this!

    Remember that your personal change depends on you. I know that the first thing I had to learn when becoming a “healthy” person was that I had to fight my laziness. There are many things that are great about the “relaxed” personality, but then there is the LAZY side. I used to look at things like, “eh, I can do that tomorrow.”

    I NEVER did anything “right away” when I was heavy. I lived in a constant of, I’ll do it tomorrow.

     Well, that was the first thing I had to change…now I say, “If I don’t do that now, I won’t do it, so I’d better get my butt up and do it.”

  • WHEN LIFE STANDS IN THE WAY

    The other day I contacted a client that I hadn’t heard from in a while. Several months ago she had come to me from a referral, so ready and on fire to get healthy. I could tell that she was going to be one of my clients that busted her butt every time, and in return would see the results that she wanted and quickly.

    So we put together a plan and started strong. Then around Christmas time she caught the flu that turned into weeks of being miserable. She hadn’t been this sick in a long time. Then, on her road to recovery we had two appointments before she had a family emergency and had to leave out of town. By the time she got back, she was so overloaded with work that there was no way she would have the time to get together.

    Sometimes things just don’t happen the way you think they will. Sometimes we can expect something, go after it, but then we are derailed through no fault of our own.  Continue reading
